The authors cover just about every aspect of what an AR-15 really is, why it is the way it is, and what you need to know to get the most out of it according to your needs. It is not short on what you can do with it (i.e. modifications, add-ons), why you want to add or not to add to it an item, and covers safety, safety, safety. This is a book you’ll most likely be going back to for reference. The authors give their preferences of choice, but don’t push what you should do. They merely give you options to consider and why or why not. It’s filled with pictures to give a clear understanding of what they are talking about, too.

“This is a very comprehensive book”

It covers almost every subject relating to AR-15’s, including basic operating instructions. I’m a relatively inexperience shooter, and this helped me A LOT. I think there is probably quite a bit in there for a more experienced shooter who wants to know more about the history and design considerations, too.
