In the years following the first publication of original The AR-15 Complete Owner’s Guide the universe of the AR-15 has changed dramatically, by both evolution and revolution.  The sun setting of the 1993 Assault Weapons Ban and extensive war usage dramatically changed the civilian AR-15.

While we’ve brought the content of The NEW AR-15 Complete Owner’s Guide into the 21st century, the purpose we set out for the original Guide is largely unchanged: to build a foundation for understanding, evaluating and selecting AR-15 rifles, components and accessories.
